As the financial cornerstone of Monterey Technologies, Inc. (MTI), Cindy Huckabee plays a pivotal role as Director of Finance in influencing and ensuring our financial stability and success.
With 20 years of experience across finance and accounting functions in manufacturing and now within the government contracting sector, her proficiencies and core competencies lie in risk management, compliance, strategic planning, and people management. Prior to joining MTI, Cindy’s responsibilities included managing multimillion-dollar accounts with several high-profile clients where she showcased her ability to navigate complex financial scenarios.
Throughout her professional journey, marked by numerous achievements, two standout instances illustrate her leadership capabilities. In one scenario, Cindy led a dedicated project team, spearheading a seamless six-month transition to a new ERP system (SAPB1) while at Hess America. This initiative significantly enhanced operational efficiency and led to the development of a tailored instruction manual designed to enable a smooth system adoption. During her tenure at ABM, she played a pivotal role in integrating a shared service model with the BMW account. Her efforts streamlined accounts receivable (A/R) processes, aligning with the client's preference for consolidated billings. This successful model was later adopted company-wide and led to wider process optimization. Additionally, she actively engaged in training finance departments across ABM for effective A/R processing in similar client scenarios. Whether managing contract expenses, negotiating financial terms for cost-savings, or assembling high-performing teams, she consistently directs her focus toward developing and maintaining a robust financial posture for any organization she serves.
Leveraging her summa cum laude bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina, Cindy brings a potent combination of academic excellence and financial expertise to her role at MTI.
