Rebecca Chapa

BIOgraphy

Rebecca Chapa integrates over nine years of military and leadership experience into her role as Chief of Staff for Monterey Technologies, Inc. (MTI). Additional roles with MTI include Internal Operations Coordinator and, most recently, Interim Director of Operations.

While serving as Support Operations Officer for the United States Army in 2020, Rebecca led the 155 Combat Sustainment Support Battalion consisting of 270+ Soldiers and civilians during Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Afghanistan. As part of the comprehensive and complex retrograde process, she planned, staffed, and led logistical operations while managing over 45,000 line items of foreign excess personal property totaling several hundred million dollars in acquisition value. This experience helped shape and refine Rebecca’s suite of leadership skills, namely decision-making, adaptability, problem-solving, resource management, and team building.

Following her deployments in Afghanistan and Qatar (Operation Allies Refuge), Rebecca wanted to incorporate core competencies from her military experience into an adjacent civilian role. MTI leadership, impressed with her experience, contacted her during her deployment and offered a position upon her return. She began serving as Internal Operations Coordinator, followed by Interim Director of Operations, and now Chief of Staff.

Rebecca is equipped with a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is a graduate of the Army’s Airborne, Rigger, and Pathfinder Schools. She will soon add an Executive MBA degree from the University of Utah to her academic portfolio.

As Chief of Staff, Rebecca is a strategic advisor to MTI’s executive leaders, planning and implementing organization-wide processes and providing ongoing operational support. She leverages her continuously growing repository of technical skills and an astute ability to lead, plan, and implement initiatives designed to serve our clients.
